POH: For the second time in nearly four months, thieves broke into the home of Teja assemblyman Chang Lih Kang at Taman Melor here.
In the incident that occurred between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday, the thieves got away with several bottles of imported liquor, a RM1,900 pen and RM800 in cash.
Chang said he was at a dinner at that time and discovered the burglary after returning home. His parents were also not at home.
“I became suspicious when I saw the front gate ajar and the porch light switched off,” he told reporters here.
He later found the sliding door unlocked and the entire house ransacked.
“I do not discount the possibility of the suspects monitoring us and striking after my parents left the house at 8pm,” he said.
Chang has lodged a report at the district police station here.
On Nov 27 last year, thieves stole two mobile phones, two watches and a small sum of money from his house.
